Entrepreneurial tools you will surely love
February 15th, 2007 by Robert
Thanks to the Carnival of Management Tips, I came across this list of 25 web tools that entrepreneurs can use.
I think those who are doing MicoISVs will really find these useful, but just about anybody can get some benefit. Everything from doc sharing, calendaring to project management and financial tools, there is surely something here for you.
A few of these I’ve seen or used before. Campfire is well known in the software community for being built using the Ruby programming language along with the very popular companion product Basecamp for project management.
In the personal finance community NetworthIQ is quite popular but I haven’t heard of it being used for businesses.
Then there are the office applications like Google’s Docs and Zoho. For a small business buying an office suite isn’t cheap and these online tools offer incredible features for being browser based. If you are looking for a desktop solution, you can always get OpenOffice which is free and will open and save to the various Microsoft document formats. Zoho’s offerings go beyond a spreadsheet and word processor. They have a CRM solution, Wiki, presentation (think PowerPoint), planner and others.
The nice thing about these applications is that in every category there is usually more than a couple of offerings, giving you a choice which is always nice and of course they are either free or very affordable.
